Stop Liverpool using tax payers' money to take cruise business away from Southampton

The SHA supports the UK Cruise Port Alliance in their determination to stop Liverpool City Council, who were funded by the European Union and the UK taxpayer.  On the strict condition that it must not operate turn around cruises, which could unfairly tase business from the UK'S privately funded cruise ports, such as Southampton.

Liverpool City Council  is applying to have this condition removed which could mean ships leaving Liverpool instead of Southampton - costng an estimated £2M loss for every ship that does not come to our Port.

This would affect not only our taxi trade in Southampton but local businesses and suppliers across The Solent Area.

We suggest you sign the local UK port alliance petition at www.facebook.com/ukcpa or on their petition website.

Please contact the Southampton Hackney Association if you need more information - call the office on (023) 8068 2561.

OR

Sign one of the petition forms from one of our SHA representatives. Distribute amongst the taxi trade and ask your customers to sign also!!
