For those of you who are uncertain of what a un-met demand survey is - it is to find out if there are enough taxis working the streets of Southampton.
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) in 2003 made this a legal requirement for councils that have a fixed limit on the amount of Hackney's in their area.
Thinking of buying part worn tyres?
Did you know that if you had an accident with part worn tyres you may not be covered, and that once the tread on a tyre is half worn, it wears out more quickly?
Part worn tyres often have just 4mm of treat remaining, and with the UK legal limit being 1.6mm there would only be 38% of it's legal tread life left !
Remember, many part worn tyres are sold illegally and do not conform to relevant testing, inspection and marking laws, so in the long run it is always better to buy new!
